## New Features, Enhancements, and Behavior Changes

This section describes new features, enhancements, and behavior changes introduced in this release.

### Analytics "Cell Tx Health" Metric

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** This change is applicable only to 4G networks.
{% endhint %}

In the Health Analytics report for 4G networks (**Analytics** > **Health Analytics** tab), the "AP Tx Configured" and "AP Tx ON" metrics have been consolidated into a single metric named "Cell Tx Health".

This change provides a clearer view of cell transmit health status (percentage of Tx-enabled cells actually transmitting) while reducing dashboard complexity.

### DP Log Filtering for LTE Dual Carrier Mode

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** This change is applicable only to 4G networks.
{% endhint %}

For 4G APs operating in SAS Dual Carrier Mode, the DP Logs view (**Equipment** > **Access Point** tab > Access Point details > **Logs** tab > **DP Logs** section) now includes cell-specific filtering, enabling you to isolate and analyze First Cell or Second Cell traffic for targeted troubleshooting and improved dual carrier network visibility.

<figure><img src="/files/EPPbFv9fx6lVvGQKC00A" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **First Cell:** Filter using the AP's serial number (e.g., ABX123).
* **Second Cell:** Filter using the AP's serial number with "-2" suffix (e.g., ABX123-2).

### Multi-Port Attach SAS Enhancements

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** This change is applicable only to 5G networks.
{% endhint %}

This release introduces the following GUI improvements to the Multi-Port Attach for SAS-Enabled Deployments feature, enhancing clarity and consistency.

* In the **Add Cell** dialog box (**Equipment** > add/edit Onyx Edge > **Core** tab > **Add Cell**), for SAS-enabled cells, the **Strict Preference** field has been renamed **Strict Freq Preference**. Additionally, a new tooltip explains how this parameter affects frequency allocation behavior and grant requests: "When enabled, grant requests are limited to the preferred frequency range. If the preferred bandwidth is unavailable, the system may attempt the same frequency with a lower bandwidth".
* The **Actual Tx Power** field (**Equipment** > Onyx Edge details page > **Overview** tab > **RAN** section > **Show More** link > **More Details** dialog box > **Actual Tx Pwr** column) now includes a tooltip explaining how actual transmit power values are calculated based on granted power levels: "The effective transmit power, determined as the minimum granted power among all associated CBSDs".

### Onyx Portal GUI Enhancements

#### Standardized GUI Label Abbreviations

To optimize screen space utilization and maintain consistency across the Onyx Portal interface, standardized abbreviations have been implemented for the following commonly used terms in GUI labels.

| Previous Label | Current Abbreviation |
| -------------- | -------------------- |
| Power          | Pwr                  |
| Bandwidth      | BW                   |
| Frequency      | Freq                 |

### SAS Analytics for Venue Enhancements

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** This change is applicable to both 4G and 5G networks.
{% endhint %}

This release introduces the following enhancements to the "SAS Analytics for Venue" feature, improving data visualization clarity and interface consistency for CBRS network management.

<figure><img src="/files/GUmuEjuAfFcT3HTGEeaX" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* The **SAS Analytics** tab (**Venue** > **SAS Analytics** tab) has been renamed to **CBRS Scanner** to better reflect its functionality and align with standard terminology.
* In the Channel Usage graph, decimal increments (0.5, 1.5, 2.5, etc.) have been removed from the y-axis, which now displays only whole numbers (0, 1, 2, 3, etc.). This change enhances graph readability and simplifies data interpretation.
* The **EIRP Distribution Over CBRS Spectrum** graph provides visibility for Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) within the CBRS Scanner interface, enabling users to view effective radiated power for detected CBRS devices.

### Site Survey Feature Enhancements

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** These changes are applicable to both 4G and 5G networks.
{% endhint %}

#### Streamlined Authentication and Venue Association

The Survey app now supports streamlined authentication and venue association via automatic network detection or QR code scanning, enabling automatic upload of survey logs to Onyx Portal.

The app automatically selects the appropriate connection method based on your network environment:

* **Automatic Connection** — When connected to a GXC network, the app automatically authenticates and links to your Onyx Portal account.
* **QR Code Authentication** — When not on a GXC network, you must scan the QR code generated in the Onyx Portal to seamlessly log in to your Onyx Portal account, associate the app with the venue, and enable automatic upload of survey log files to Onyx Portal.

#### Signal Metric Selector with Legends

The Survey Tool now provides enhanced flexibility for analyzing network coverage quality with a metric selector dropdown and corresponding signal quality legends.

<figure><img src="/files/ZXoqIEgjuECJmYzo8jVq" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can now seamlessly switch between the following radio signal metrics to visualize coverage data directly on the map view:

* Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP)
* Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR)
* Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ)
* Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI)
* Cell (PCI) — Physical Cell ID visualization with unique color coding per cell

Click the **Show Legends** button to view comprehensive reference tables corresponding to the selected metric, including:

* Color-coded signal quality ranges (Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor, Very Poor)
* Thresholds for each quality level
* Service quality descriptions
* Technology-specific ranges (separate criteria for 4G and 5G, where applicable)

The following screenshot displays the Legends dialog box for RSRP metrics.

<figure><img src="/files/xK5Wm6MGPHVBxrUhqkeQ" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Expandable Map View

The Survey Tool now includes a show/hide toggle <img src="/files/F7Qu1hS3H8jotucbLyTF" alt="" data-size="line"> that allows you to show or hide the signal graphs displayed below the map area. When graphs are hidden, the map automatically expands to fill the available screen space, providing a larger canvas for analyzing coverage data.

This enhancement is particularly useful when reviewing long survey routes or analyzing coverage in dense urban environments where detailed map inspection is required.

#### Survey Playback

The Survey Tool now includes a survey playback control <img src="/files/bm9lscVYA4aCAFMesnHs" alt="" data-size="line"> that traces the surveyor's route from the survey's start point to the end point.

This enhancement is particularly useful for identifying coverage gaps and understanding the temporal aspects of signal measurements during the survey.

#### Switch Survey

The Survey Tool now includes a switch survey navigation control <img src="/files/DklBa9zv6WD7DuazIqy7" alt="" data-size="line"> to load a different survey without returning to the venues list. This eliminates back and forth navigation when comparing surveys.

### Subscriber Management Changes

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** These changes are applicable to both 4G and 5G networks.
{% endhint %}

#### Subscriber List Sorting

The **Subscribers** page (**Subscribers** > **Subscriber** tab) now lists subscribers sorted by their network connection status and their recent network activity, making it easier to identify and manage subscribers based on their current state. The subscribers' list is automatically sorted using a two-tier approach:

1. Subscribers are grouped based on their connection status in the following priority order:
   * Connected
   * Idle
   * Not-Connected
   * Unknown
   * Disabled
2. Within each connection status group, subscribers are ordered by their most recent network activity timestamps.

Any subscribers with missing timestamp values are sorted after those with valid timestamps within the same status group.

#### Subscriber Addition Changes

With subscriber addition now consolidated into the SIM Provisioning workflow, the **Add Subscriber** button is removed from the per network Subscriber pages (**Subscribers** > **Subscriber** tab).

The Subscribers CSV file (**Subscribers** > **Download CSV**) no longer includes the Auth Key and OPC columns.
