## New Features, Enhancements, and Behavior Changes

This section describes new features, enhancements, and behavior changes introduced in this release.

### Provisioning Server Connection Failure Alert

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** This change is applicable to both 4G and 5G networks.
{% endhint %}

The trigger condition for "Provisioning Server Connection Failure" alerts has been updated to minimize unnecessary alerts for transient, non-critical provisioning failures.

**Previous Behavior:** The alert was triggered if a provisioning server check-in failed over a 35-minute window.

**Updated Behavior:** The alert now triggers only if no successful check-ins are recorded within a 35-minute window.

This change applies to the following alerts:

* Onyx Edge (Core) "Provisioning Server Connection Failure" alert
* (5G only) Onyx Edge (NR) "Provisioning Server Connection Failure" alert
* (4G only) Mesh Node "Provisioning Server Connection Failure" alert

### SAS Support for FHM and Associated APs

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** This change is applicable only to 5G networks.
{% endhint %}

The Onyx Portal now supports managing SAS configuration for cells associated with FHMs, enabling unified control of SAS settings for all APs associated with an FHM.

<figure><img src="/files/Fpr8Rdq7tKgbzUKDpvwa" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

SAS configuration for FHM cells can be managed in the following screens:

* "Onyx Edge Add" page > **Add Cell** dialog box (Onyx Portal > **Equipment** > **Add Node** > **Add Onyx Edge** > **RAN** tab > **Add Cell** > **Add Cell** dialog box)
* "Onyx Edge Edit" page > **Add Cell** dialog box (Onyx Portal > **Equipment** > **Onyx Edge** tab > edit Onyx Edge details > **RAN** tab > **Add Cell** > **Add Cell** dialog box)
* "Onyx Edge Edit" page > **Edit Cell** dialog box (Onyx Portal > **Equipment** > **Onyx Edge** tab > edit Onyx Edge details > **RAN** tab > edit cell details > **Edit Cell** dialog box)

#### SAS-Enabled FHM Cell Behavior

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** This change is applicable only to 5G networks.
{% endhint %}

When SAS is enabled for a cell associated with an FHM, the following restrictions apply to the **Preferred Frequencies (MHz) in Priority Order** parameter:

* Only one center frequency can be selected.
* Strict Preference is automatically set to True, and it cannot be modified.
* If multiple frequencies were selected before associating the cell with an FHM, the first frequency in the original selection will be retained as the active choice.

### FHM Interface Status

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** This change is applicable only to 5G networks.
{% endhint %}

The Onyx Portal now displays FHM interface status—indicating the fronthaul connection state of an FHM and its associated APs—on the following screens.

* "FHM Summary" page (Onyx Portal > **Equipment** > **FHM** tab > **Interface Status** column)
* "FHM Details" page (Onyx Portal > **Equipment** > **FHM** tab > view FHM details > **FHM Details** section > **Interface Status**)

FHM Interface Status icon indicators:

* <img src="/files/12y6osOg5f06Lx9NZIDv" alt="" data-size="line"> (Green) – Passthrough is reported as true for all associated APs.
* <img src="/files/TzkbYNWz92VrF6oX785W" alt="" data-size="line"> (Red) – Passthrough is reported as false, or status information is unavailable for all associated APs.
* <img src="/files/IQBcrXlCUIutqxLNURzH" alt="" data-size="line"> (Amber) – Passthrough is reported as false, or status information is unavailable for at least one, but not all, associated APs.
* <img src="/files/nsup7rZxsUP6UoAqlXK4" alt="" data-size="line"> (Grey) – FHM is not management-connected.

When you hover over the Interface Status icon, the following details are displayed:

* **Access Point** – Name of individual AP.
* **Interface** – Ethernet port used for the fronthaul link.
* **Passthrough** – Indicates whether fronthaul passthrough is active (true or false).
* "AP Summary" page (Onyx Portal > **Equipment** > **Access Point** tab > **Interface Status** column)
* "AP Details" page (Onyx Portal > **Equipment** > **Access Point** tab > view AP details > **Access Point Details** section > **Interface Status**)

When you hover over the Interface Status icon, the following details are displayed:

* <img src="/files/ZljWxd6ouGMXk6OJmKQi" alt="" data-size="line"> (Green) – Fronthaul is connected.
* <img src="/files/In83V4fHrH4ptAWBRs78" alt="" data-size="line"> (Red) – Fronthaul is not connected.

### FHM-Attached Subscriber Details

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** This change is applicable only to 5G networks.
{% endhint %}

The Onyx Portal now displays details of all subscribers connected through every AP associated with an FHM on the following screen:

* "FHM Details" page (Onyx Portal > **Equipment** > **FHM** tab > view FHM details > **Subscribers** section)

The subscriber details include:

* **Status** – The subscriber's current session state.
* **Name** – The subscriber account's name.
* **IMSI** – The subscriber's IMSI—a unique identifier assigned to each subscriber SIM.
* **Subscriber Group Name** – The subscriber group to which the subscriber belongs.

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** When an AP is directly associated with an Onyx Edge, details of subscribers connected to that AP are displayed in the AP's Details page. For APs associated with an FHM, subscriber details are displayed only in the FHM Details page.
{% endhint %}

### FHM Remote Reboot Support

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** This change is applicable only to 5G networks.
{% endhint %}

The Onyx Portal now supports remotely rebooting Onyx FHM equipment. (Onyx Portal > **Equipment** > **FHM** tab > view FHM's details > **Actions** > **Reboot**.)

## Resolved Issues

There are no resolved issues reported in this release.

## Open Issues

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** Open issues reported in previous releases, unless subsequently reported as resolved, may exist in this release.
{% endhint %}

The following new open issues are reported in this release.

### Inaccurate Analytics Throughput Reporting

In the following Onyx Portal Analytics plots, in some cases, uplink and downlink traffic may continue to appear even after traffic has stopped. This issue will be addressed in a future release.

* Average Downlink Throughput
* Average Uplink Throughput
* Peak Downlink Throughput
* Peak Uplink Throughput
* Downlink Traffic Volume
* Uplink Traffic Volume

### Inaccurate Throughput Graphs for Extended Durations

In the Onyx Portal > **Dashboard** > **Downlink/Uplink Traffic** graph, when viewing data for extended durations, traffic gaps (for example, due to an extended outage) may not be accurately represented. The graph tends to visually compress or smooth over these gaps, resulting in potentially misleading data. This issue will be addressed in a future release.

### Incorrect Interface Status Reporting

When the fronthaul link is physically down, the Onyx Edge incorrectly reports the interface status as up. For example, disconnecting fiber from the FHM or APs causes the equipment to go offline, but the Onyx Edge's interface status remains up. This issue will be addressed in a future release.
