## Appendix A

### &#x20;Directional Antenna Installation

Use this option in place of the omni antenna when the site requires a focused coverage pattern. The directional (panel) antenna kit supports pole diameters from 1.5 in to 4.0 in and includes a back-plate bracket, wing nuts, spring washers, V-bolts, and hose clamps sized for the pole.

### Pole Mount

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Disconnect the omni antenna cables from the unit's RF antenna connectors and replace them with the directional antenna's cables.

<figure><img src="https://4084968256-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FgSxa0NIdBp5aDw7Lf2N9%2Fuploads%2FMoillGFeNOGCCSgLzQwx%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=7bfedbea-9f57-4b9b-958d-da1d3b3bf39e" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Assemble the antenna back-plate to the bracket panel, then clamp the assembly to the pole using the V-bolts (1.5–2.0 in pole) or hose clamps (2.0–4.0 in pole), matching the hardware to your pole diameter. The antenna's label should face the bottom-left.

The bracket allows the antenna tilt to be adjusted from +45° to −38° once installed.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://4084968256-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FgSxa0NIdBp5aDw7Lf2N9%2Fuploads%2FwvsKXidVlK0b6etwbeMg%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=09aed258-b0fb-4833-80c5-fd11c0ad4c82" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Wall Mount

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Disconnect the omni antenna cables from the unit's RF antenna connectors and replace them with the directional antenna's cables.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://4084968256-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FgSxa0NIdBp5aDw7Lf2N9%2Fuploads%2FVgjHAG5MC8BgIrdDm9En%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=5ded3ded-69cc-4c59-be09-e5b98e1625a7" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
As an alternative to pole clamping, the back-plate can be drilled directly to a wall. Drill four holes using the dimensions shown (70 mm / 2.76 in spacing) and secure with the plastic wall plugs and self-tapping screws.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://4084968256-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FgSxa0NIdBp5aDw7Lf2N9%2Fuploads%2F6K6tYkxFEHN43LLbx6TY%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=1889ecf2-5e11-4be0-b249-39fe8adde1ed" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.gxc.io/hw/5g/5g-gnb/g244-n48/g244-hardware-installation-guide.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
