# Manage Venues

A venue represents a physical location in a private mobile network, such as a factory or a warehouse, hosting the AP(s). A venue can be a small facility or a multi-floor facility hosting multiple APs on each floor.

### View Summary Details of All Venues

**To view the summary details of all venues in the network:**

### View a Venue's Details

**To view a venue's details:**

* **Name** — The venue's name.
* **Network** — The network's name.
* **Address** — The venue's address.
* **Description** — The venue's description.
* **Radio Range (SSF)** — (Displayed only if configured at the venue level or inherited from the network level.) Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) and cell-selection thresholds are defined per range category below. The Radio Range parameter, also referred to as Signal Strength Floor (SSF), for all APs in the venue. SSF determines the signal strength thresholds for different coverage areas within a network, ensuring optimal connectivity and handover performance across varying distances and terrain conditions.
  * **Normal (SSF7)** — This SSF category represents the typical signal strength threshold for cell selection and handover within a network. It is used for areas where the network coverage is considered standard, and the signal strength is within the normal operating range.
  * **> 6miles (SSF5)** — This SSF category represents an extended coverage area where the signal strength may be weaker compared to the normal operating range. It is used for areas where the distance between the cell site and the UE exceeds six miles, requiring a lower signal strength threshold for cell selection and handover.
* **DL/UL Distribution (SA)** — (Displayed only if configured at the venue level or inherited from the network level.) The DL/UL Subframe Assignment (SA) for all APs in the venue. The DL/UL Distribution (SA) configuration refers to allocating transmission resources (specific subframes within the radio frame for DL and UL data transmissions) to facilitate efficient data exchange between the AP and UE.

  * **85%DL, 15%UL (SA2)** — Subframe Assignment 2. Allocates approximately 85% of subframes within each radio frame for downlink transmission and the remaining 15% for uplink transmission.
  * **70%DL, 30%UL (SA1)** — Subframe Assignment 1. Allocates approximately 70% of subframes within each radio frame for downlink transmission and the remaining 30% for uplink transmission.
  * **60%DL, 40%UL (SA6)** — Subframe Assignment 6. Allocates approximately 60% of subframes within each radio frame for downlink transmission and the remaining 40% for uplink transmission.

* Satellite map visualization of the venue's location.
* **Floors** — The venue's floor plans, each shown with an approximate elevation and calibration status (for example, "Approx. 10 ft. Elevation | Not Calibrated").

  To add a floor plan, click **Add Floor**. For information on adding floor plans, see *Add Floor Plans*.
* **Onyx Edge** — The list of Onyx Edge associated with the venue and their online status (reachability from the Onyx Portal). To view an Onyx Edge's details, click its name. To add an Onyx Edge to the venue, click **Add Onyx Edge**. For information on adding Onyx Edge, see *Add Onyx Edge*.
* **Access Point** — The list of APs associated with the venue and their online status (reachability from the Onyx Portal). To view an AP's details, click its name. To add an AP to the venue, click **Add Access Point**. For information on adding APs, see *Add APs*.
* **FHM** — The list of FHM associated with the venue and their online status (reachability from the Onyx Portal). To view an FHM's details, click its name. To add an FHM to the venue, click **Add FHM**. For information on adding FHM to the venue, see *Add FHM*.
* **Mesh Node** — The list of Mesh Nodes associated with the venue and their online status (reachability from the Onyx Portal). To view a Mesh Node's details, click its name. To add a Mesh Node to the venue, click **Add Mesh Node**. For information on adding Mesh Nodes, see *Add Mesh Node*.

Click the **CBSD Scanner** tab.

The **CBSD Scanner** tab provides venue-level CBRS scanning capabilities for CBSD planning and channel analysis. It supports RF planning by identifying available CBSD channels, detecting potential interference, and helping optimize spectrum allocation for network deployments.

The following screenshot displays the interface before performing a scan.

* **Venue CBRD Scanner**
  * **Venue Location** — The venue's geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) that define the center point for spectrum analysis queries and serve as the reference location for all SAS database queries.
  * Interactive Map Display — Provides standard map and satellite imagery views of the geographic area surrounding the venue's coordinates, offering spatial context for understanding terrain characteristics and potential RF interference sources. The map displays a circular overlay representing the search radius around the venue location, with the venue marked at the center.
  * **Selected Radius** — User-configured parameter that defines the geographic search distance from the venue's center point, determining how far the system queries the federated SAS database to discover neighboring CBRS deployments. The system performs a box search that extends the specified distance in all directions from the venue coordinates.
  * **New Scan** — Initiates a fresh query to the SAS database using the current venue location and selected radius parameters, allowing administrators to refresh analysis with current SAS data in dynamic RF environments where devices frequently register and deregister.
  * **POIs** — Points of Interest (POIs). Displays a list of specific CBSD deployments discovered within the search radius. Each entry shows precise coordinates in decimal degrees. Checkboxes next to each POI enable administrators to select specific points for focused analysis. The **Select All** and **Clear All** buttons provide quick controls for managing selections, allowing to toggle between viewing specific or all discovered deployments.

    For each discovered deployment, the POI detail popup displays the geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude), CBSD category counts, and channels in use. The category counts show the number of Category A devices (lower-power systems up to 24 dBm EIRP per 10 MHz, typically representing indoor deployments) and Category B devices (higher-power systems up to 47 dBm EIRP per 10 MHz, representing outdoor infrastructure with larger coverage areas). The channels in use section lists each channel with the number of CBSDs operating on that frequency. Administrators can filter the Channel Usage and EIRP Distribution visualizations by selecting specific channels from the popup, enabling focused analysis to prioritize interference mitigation and select optimal channels.

    * **Channel Usage** — Displays spectrum utilization across the CBRS frequency band. The horizontal axis represents channel numbers, while the vertical axis indicates the number of CBSDs detected operating on each frequency block based on current SAS registrations and incumbent activity. Taller bars indicate significant existing activity while shorter bars suggest minimal utilization. The visualization responds dynamically to POI selections, updating to display only the channel usage associated with selected deployments.
    * **EIRP Distribution over CBRS Spectrum** — Displays the effective radiated power distribution for detected CBRS devices within the search radius. The horizontal axis represents EIRP assigned values in dBm/MHz, while the vertical axis indicates the number of CBSDs operating at each power level. The visualization differentiates between Category A devices (shown in light green) and Category B devices (shown in dark green), enabling administrators to assess the power profile of nearby deployments. Higher EIRP values indicate stronger potential interference sources, while the distribution pattern reveals whether neighboring networks operate primarily as low-power or high-power systems. Like the **Channel Usage** graph, this visualization responds dynamically to POI selections for focused analysis.
  * **Archived Scans** — A list of previously run scans for the venue, with a refresh control to reload the list. Select an archived scan to view its results without running a new query.

Administrators use scan results to make informed channel selection decisions by combining geographic distribution from the map with frequency utilization from the **Channel Usage** graph and power characteristics from the **EIRP Distribution over CBRS Spectrum** chart. By examining the **Channel Usage** graph for lower bars or gaps, administrators identify frequencies with minimal nearby activity. The **EIRP Distribution over CBRS Spectrum** chart complements this analysis by revealing the power levels of existing deployments, helping administrators understand interference potential based on both proximity and transmission strength. Administrators correlate this with POI geographic distribution to understand directional interference potential.

Clicking on POI markers reveals detailed deployment information. POI selection filters both the Channel Usage and EIRP Distribution visualizations to isolate individual deployment patterns, supporting detailed investigation and helping prioritize mitigation strategies based on deployment power levels, frequency utilization, and proximity.

The iterative analysis support allows administrators to modify the search radius or execute scans at different times to understand how the RF environment evolves and develop robust spectrum strategies that minimize interference, avoid congested portions of the spectrum, and ensure reliable network performance as the deployment landscape changes.

Click the **Survey** tab.

The **Survey** tab provides two sections for managing RF coverage assessment workflows: **Survey Logs** and **Coverage Overlays (KMZ from EINO)**.

* **Survey Logs** —&#x20;
  * To create an authentication token for linking the GXC Survey mobile app to this venue for field data collection, click **Generate Access Token**.
  * To upload a survey log file directly from your computer, click **Upload Local File**. Uploaded logs appear in a table showing File Name, Uploaded By, Uploaded At, Size, and Actions.
* **Coverage Overlays (KMZ from EINO)** — To add a coverage overlay file exported from EINO, click **Upload KMZ**. Uploaded overlays appear in a table showing File Name, Uploaded By, Uploaded At, and Actions.

Click the **AP Markers** tab.

The **AP Markers** tab lets you place and manage AP marker records for the venue, independently of the physical AP inventory in the **Access Point** section on the Overview tab.

To create a marker, click **Add AP Marker**, or right-click directly on the survey map.

Each marker record includes:

* **Name** — The marker's name.
* **Serial Number** — The AP's serial number.
* **Device Class** — The AP's device class.
* **Latitude** / **Longitude** — The marker's coordinates.
* **Created By** / **Created At** — Audit information for the marker.
* **Actions** — Options to edit or delete the marker.

## Manage Floor Plans

Floor plans enable you to visualize the layout of floors and the physical location of equipment on the floors on a map.

### Add Floor Plans

* **Name** — (Required) Assign a name to the floor.
* **Floor No.** — (Required) Enter the floor level. It must be in the range of -10 to +99.
* **Upload Floor Image** — (Required) Click **Choose** and upload the floor plan. You can upload image files of type .jpeg, .jpg, or .png.

The floor plan is saved to the venue.

### Calibrate Floor Plans

Enter the following details:

* **Venue Name** — (Required) The venue's name. The venue's name must be an alphanumeric string of 1–32 characters and must be unique within the network.
* **Description** — (Required) The venue's description.
* **Address / Coordinates** — Select the address type.
  * If you select **Address**, enter the venue's address.

    * **Address** — (Required) The venue's address. After you enter the address, the location will be displayed on the map.

    If you select **Coordinates**, enter the venue's GPS latitude and longitude coordinates in Decimal Degrees (DD) format. For example, Latitude: 12.93421, Longitude: 77.62989. After you enter the coordinates, the map displays the location.<br>

For the venue that you want to edit, in the **Actions** column click the corresponding ⋮ (options) icon, then click **Edit**.

The **Edit Venue (*****\<venue name>*****)** page displays the venue's details.

Update the venue's details as required.

* **Venue Name** — (Required) The venue's name. The venue's name must be unique within the network and must be an alphanumeric string of 1–32 characters.
* **Description** — (Required) The venue's description.
* **Address / Coordinates** — Select the address type.

  If you select **Address**, enter the venue's address.

  * **Address** — (Required) The venue's address. After you enter the address, the map displays the location.

  If you select **Coordinates**, enter the venue's GPS latitude and longitude coordinates in Decimal Degrees (DD) format. For example, Latitude: 12.93421, Longitude: 77.62989. After you enter the coordinates, the map displays the location.<br>

  * **Latitude** — (Required) The venue's GPS latitude coordinate.
  * **Longitude** — (Required) The venue's GPS longitude coordinate.

## Delete Venues

**NOTE:** You can delete venues only if you are a GXC Administrator, Partner Administrator, or a Super Administrator.

**NOTE:** You cannot delete a venue if there are any floors, APs, or Onyx Edge associated with the venue.

**To delete a venue from the network:**

The **Venues** page displays the summary details of all venues configured in the network.
