How do I add my iPhone to the GXC Network?

Before you begin

You must have either a Wi-Fi or cellular connection and an image of your QR code.

Confirm prerequisites.

On-screen caption: You must have either a Wi-Fi or cellular connection and an image of your QR code.

What to do: Before starting, make sure your iPhone is connected to either Wi-Fi or an existing cellular data connection. Also have the QR code image supplied by your carrier ready — either saved on your device or printed.

Open Settings.

On-screen caption: Find and select "Settings" on your phone.

What to do: Locate the Settings icon on your Home Screen (it may be inside the Apple folder as shown) and tap to open it.

Tap Cellular.

On-screen caption: In Settings, select "Cellular".

What to do: Scroll to find the Cellular option and tap to open the cellular configuration page.

Set Up Cellular — Use QR Code.

On-screen caption: Select "Use QR Code."

What to do: On the Set Up Cellular screen, choose "Use QR Code" instead of "Transfer From Nearby iPhone."

Scan your QR code.

On-screen caption: Scan your QR code.

What to do: Position the QR code provided by your carrier inside the scanning frame. If needed, you can tap "Enter Details Manually" at the bottom.

Activate eSIM — tap Continue.

On-screen caption: Your new eSIM from GXC is ready to activate — tap Continue.

What to do: Once the code is recognized, the Activate eSIM screen appears. Tap Continue to begin activation.

Exit the "Connecting to network…" screen.

On-screen caption: At this point you will see "Connecting to network…". End this by swiping up from the bottom of the screen.

What to do: The screen will show a "Connecting to network…" spinner. Do not wait for it to finish — instead, dismiss this screen by swiping up from the bottom of the display to return to the Home Screen.

Reopen Settings.

On-screen caption: Reopen "Settings."

What to do: Tap the Settings icon again to go back into Settings.

Select the new Non-Public Network entry.

On-screen caption: You will now notice the new entry under "Non-Public Networks". Select this entry.

What to do: Open Cellular again. Under the "Non-Public Networks" section you will see the newly added Cellular Data line with a long number (e.g. [phone]). Tap this entry.

Open Voice & Data.

On-screen caption: Select "Voice & Data".

What to do: Inside the Non-Public Network settings, tap the "Voice & Data" row.

Enable 5G On and 5G Standalone.

On-screen caption: Select "5G On" and "5G Standalone" as shown.

What to do: Pick "5G On" from the list and toggle "5G Standalone" ON. Then use Back to return.

Add Cellular Plan — Continue.

On-screen caption: A new cellular plan has been detected — tap Continue.

What to do: A dialog titled "Add Cellular Plan" may appear indicating a new plan was detected. Tap Continue to proceed through the plan setup.

Cellular Plan Labels.

On-screen caption: If desired, you may label your cellular plan as I will do in the next slide.

What to do: The Cellular Plan Labels screen lets you assign a meaningful label to each plan. Tap the label row for the new line to customize it.

Apply a custom label (e.g. "GXC").

On-screen caption: Here I labeled it "GXC" and selected "Done" to continue.

What to do: From the list, either pick a preset (Business, Personal, Travel, etc.) or scroll to "Custom Label" and enter a name such as GXC. Tap Done when finished.

Select Continue again.

On-screen caption: Select "Continue" again.

What to do: Back on the Cellular Plan Labels screen, confirm your labels and tap Continue.

Choose default cellular data line.

On-screen caption: Choose your default network for "Cellular Data". Here I selected "GXC".

What to do: Pick which line should carry mobile data by default. In this example GXC is chosen. Leave "Allow Cellular Data Switching" turned off unless you want iOS to fall back to the other line automatically.

Tap Done.

On-screen caption: Almost done — now select "Done".

What to do: Tap the blue Done button to finish the eSIM setup wizard.

Verify from Control Center — swipe down.

On-screen caption: To verify your connection to your new private network, swipe down slightly from the top right-hand corner of your screen.

What to do: Return to the Home Screen and swipe down from the top-right corner to open Control Center.

Confirm the private network name.

On-screen caption: The name of your network will vary depending on how your provider set up the network.

What to do: At the top of Control Center you will see both lines. Your GXC/private network line (for example "315 010 5G") will appear alongside your public carrier line (for example "T-Mobile"). The exact network name depends on how your provider has configured it.
